Wrench
The wrench is a symbol of the machine age and its dehumanizing effects of many aspects of one new modernity. This age of machines has passed, and machines are now doing the work, reaffirming their dehumanizing nature of this work.
To see, this image recalls the film Modern Times, where Charlie Chaplin takes a job at a factory and becoming literally part of the machinery, unable to escape the mechanisms which in prison him. He provides only another instrument to service the non-ending production. His individuality or person is irrelevant, just another part.
