Postulant makes a request to be a candidate into a Christian monastery or a religious order for the period of time as novitiate can spend 1–2 years in this stage. Living with the community and joining attended formal education that is given to the novices, often to wear a specific garb rather common clothing of the other members.
Should the person feel they are unsuited to the life, they can leave the institution without the need of any formal procedure.
