Bonnie and Clyde
On May 21, Texas officers learned Barrow and Parker were planning to visit Bienville Parish that evening they set an ambush on Louisiana State Highway 154 south and were ready at 9 pm, and waited the whole next day. At 9:15 am on May 23 they heard a vehicle approaching at high speed.
They positioned his truck on the shoulder of the road that morning, hoped Barrow would slow down, and he did. The six lawmen opened fire while the Ford V8 was still moving. Barrow was shot in the head and died instantly, hearing Parker scream. The officers fired about 130 rounds.
