From the tropical evergreen tree Anacardium occidentale the tree can grow as tall as 14 meters (46 feet) Vietnam exports 347,634 tonnes, the third largest producer in the world. The apple, an accessory fruit, is a light reddish. It has a sweet sour taste and is often dipped in salt and pepper whell eaten.
If you ever find yourself in Vietnam by all means get yourself a big bag and remember to remove the skin if you like. I think it is better without it but if you like to get on by all means leave it alone.
