The sentiment is that as one ages and sees life pass by, aging skin wrinkles on their face give insight or a greater knowledge of life. From their lips come merely platitudes from the same place we get ours. We all grow up in the same mass media, learning the same old ideas endlessly repeated.

The only difference now is that we know that it’s happening and are aware of the effects but ignore them. The only thing time gives you is the ability to recover from all the mistakes. Making and recovering from them is where most of your learning will come from, so we should always take risks, and if they don’t work, try again.
