Swelling up in the eyes till there’s too many to be held back; then the tears cascade. Then falls around the cheek, striking the edge of the lips, curling around, and then dripping off the chin. In responses to an emotion, but can we tell which one? Emotions tend to come like waves, they are not merely just one but many peaks combined. To swell up and explode out eyes, mouth, the whole body fully surrendering to the torrent of emotion. Still the persistent urge to hold them back the strain on the face not yet able to release the emotions fully.  For some reason fighting what will actually occur but still trying to repress the spring.
