Hang Me, Oh Hang Me
The origin song was titled “My Father Was a Gambler” and was first published in 1917 in a collection by Minnie Doyal of Arlington, Missouri. This version was quite different and didn’t have the “I’ve been all around the world” tagline. It has also been called ‘Scaffold To The Grave’.
