Over The Grave, The One I Love So Deeply

Painting by Chris Dale of a dark hooded figure stands over the graveyard of the one they love.
Sands over the grave of his obsession.

Grave

The main character in my friend’s unwritten graphic novel is standing in his love. Imagine her as if she were not a rotting corpse, but rather buried alive like Sleeping Beauty. Waiting for him to come and save her. This is his weekly ritual, which he usually does in the afternoon and sometimes at night, as if her ghost is more likely to pay him a visit around midnight.

This is clearly a very lonely man who is desperate to find love and goes to great lengths to avoid communicating his desires to anyone alive or himself.
