Dead Horse

Pointless act out of a sense of emotional response to a horse.  The point that it is dead and anything you do will have no effect does not seem to enter your consciousness.  So you persist in an act which is pointless because it makes you feel better rather than accomplish anything.

The image came out of what I see in galleries. There is a trend of the same kind of images being repeated. The idea of Beating A Dead Horse came to mind. After reflection, the idea of massaging seemed to express a point more precisely. The act of beating implies anger and frustration of being in a state of constant regurgitation of dead images. This is not the reaction but rather it is massaging which is even less effective.
