Sandie Crisp was born John Baima on January 13, 1960, in Santa Monica, California. She contracted polio soon after her birth, resulting in a disfigurement of her body and used a wheelchair. She lived in foster homes for disabled children after parents divorced and endured physical and sexual abuse in foster families due likely to her gender identity issues. Born a biological male but presenting as a transgender woman, she performed as a drag queen, Goddess Bunny, starting a career in the entertainment industry.
