Were executed 1953 execution chamber in Sing in New York, The first American civilians executed during peacetime.
Julius and Ethel Rosenberg
Julius Rosenberg was born in New York City to Jewish immigrants from Russia. Leader of the Young Communist at City College. Graduate degree in electrical engineering, 1939.
Ethel Greenglass, born to a Jewish family in Manhattan. Was an aspiring actress and singer but took a secretarial job. Involved in labour disputes and joining the Young Communist met Julius in 1936 and married in 1939.
