Grenade Day: You Get What You Want

Blazing sunlight fragments through the leaves.
Grenade Day Childish Anger Get What? Painting by Chris Dale.

Grenade Day

I had to paint this picture as soon as I saw it was later called Grenade and then added day as if it were a day at the beach. I saw a picture of a little kid in their summer clothes throwing a fit and brandishing a toy grenade in the park among the trees, looking like they had just left my party.

Had to explore this idea of the fact that many children have explosives strapped around them. Living in circumstance that gives their lives so has a little value they can, you be used as a weapon in war. Contrasting this child life where his privilege existence makes this idea is not even conceivable.
