This pagoda is nearly 100 years old; up until 1975, this area was part of the Quang Trung military school. In 1968, a group of students went camping on the temple grounds, lit a fire, and danced. The Master Yet Ma of the temple tried to stop them, but they didn’t listen. So he jumped into the fire, and the students pulled him out. The next time he jumped in, he died. His body is interred inside the tower on temple grounds.
