Gaze at each other, knowing their love is forbidden and must be hidden from all but a few who accept them in the dark parts of the Tokyo city away from public view.

Not all of was not allowed in Tokyo after the war and even today this love was largely hidden inside the dark behind the walls, slipping down the alleys. The shining light is slowly reaching the dark places and exposing the love that appears held. That does not have the rules for this to exist.
