The mascot of the loud engine requires a deaf dog to be it. Nothing but an arbitrary beast, no real reason to play as part of the show. Like many things become part of something for no reason, only symbols lack function other than its symbolism. There is now a focus outside of the real events that entertains and gives a humorous warmth to a often mundane reality for now and hats do a spotted dog a red hat.
