books were part of my childhood. Through his adventures, I learned how we are part of the environment and gained a better understanding of what it meant to be a Canadian for a young man.

The fictional stories are entertaining but strongly based upon the natural environment which educating the individual on the place and the way in which that person survives there along with telling their story at the same time.
